Police believe the same people are responsible for both crimes.

The first crime occurred at Family Dollar, 10220 30th St. N., around 9:51 p.m. when two suspects walked into the store showing off firearms. The suspects demanded cash, received it and fled.

A second armed robbery occurred at 11:06 p.m. This time, the Papa John’s pizza at 9340 Florida Ave. N. was targeted. Again, two suspects walked inside the business, displayed guns and demanded cash. In this incident, however, a shot was fired into the ceiling.
