Flying Discs Zipping Through The Air At 22nd Street Park
22nd Street Park Green Space Host To Flying Disc Golf Course
On a recent mid-morning I was strolling through the lovely 22nd Street Park in Seminole Heights where I saw two guys with packs of flying discs.
It's been several months since I walked through the scenic 22nd Street Park -- a sprawling, sloping piece of land off the Hillsborough River at the end of Parck Circle. Big oaks offer a shady refuge.
I saw the two men fling their flying discs -- and I realized quickly that it was a flying disc golf course. There were metal posts that serve as the frisbee golf "holes" scattered through the green space.

I asked how long the 22nd Street Park has hosted the flying disc golf course and was told by one of the players that it started about 2 1/2 months ago.
