Mixing it up at the Mermaid Tavern

You cannot always get good wine at a "beer place" nor good beer at a "wine place."  However, the mixes it up perfect — incredible beer and wine that will have your snootiest friends on both sides of the isle commenting on "notes" and "tones" and rummaging around their brains for fruit-based similes.

If you, like me, are old enough to have vinyl you've refused to throw away (Styx "Paradise Theater"... never toss that!) but you don't have access to a record player, you're in luck.  On Wednesdays at 9:30, the DJ will spin your vinyl to entertain the crowd.  (Ghostbusters here we come..)  

The outdoor deck is plenty big enough and parking is tight but not bad.  Best of all, though, is their rows of taps and bottles to keep you happy.  If you ask for wine, you won't be given the choice of "red" or "white" but a nice list running from good and earthy all the way down to a Rubicon Estate.
