Update: Sligh, Florida Intersection Reopens

Five adults were injured in a wreck.

Update June 29, 1:33 p.m.: The intersection of Sligh and Florida avenues is now open. Tampa Police have released no further details in the crash that prompted the closing.

The Tampa Police Department is asking motorists to steer clear of the intersection of Florida and Sligh avenues Monday morning.

A serious car crash that occurred, leaving five people injured, has prompted the roads’ closing within a one-block radius of the intersection, police wrote in an email to media.

All five adults involved in the crash have been taken to local hospitals for treatment. It is unclear at this time how long the intersection will remain closed.
