This is the closing party for the exhibit "Bud Lee's America." Lee -- a freelance photographer for years for "Esquire," "Harper's Bazaar," "Rolling Stone," "Vogue," "The New York Times Sunday Magazine" and other publications -- was a driving force in the Tampa art scene. The museum says he founded the Artists and Writers Trust and the Florida Photographer's Workshop, and he co-founded the annual Artists and Writers Ball in Ybor City, which evolved in Guavaween. This exhibit has been his first show since a 2005 one at the Tampa Museum of Art. Lee lives in a nursing home in Plant City.
