FBI Arrests Former Hillsborough County Commissioner, Tampa City Councilman Kevin White

Kevin White was arrested Wednesday morning on corruption charges.

TBO.com has posted an article regarding the arrest of Kevin White, a former Hillsborough County commissioner and a former Tampa City Council member who represented Central and East Tampa.

According to TBO's report, White was arrested at his home on corruption charges relating to his tenure on the Public Transportation Commission, which regulates limo, cab and ambulance companies. TBO has posted a copy of the indictment.

White, a former resident of Southeast Seminole Heights and a former Tampa Police officer, was first elected to City Council in 2003. He was elected to the Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners in 2006. Last year, White lost his re-election bid to the commission.

A Hillsborough County jury found White guilty in August 2009 of sexually harassing a former aide, Alyssa Ogden, and awarded $75,000. White and the county are currently suing each other over his legal bills from the case.
