Firefighters Battle Blaze At Old Seminole Heights Home

SEMINOLE HEIGHTS, FL -- Tampa firefighters spent Tuesday morning battling a house fire in Old Seminole Heights.

Tampa Fire Rescue received a call at 9:38 a.m. for a fire at a single-story frame home at 7209 N. 9th St.

Arriving crews found flames coming from the rear of the home. Crews were able to quickly verify that all three adults in the home had escaped. One of the residents, a woman in her 60s, was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The fire was under control by 10 a.m.

An investigator from the fire marshal's office is on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
