Hillsborough Sheriff Seeks Tips In Shooting Of University Man

TAMPA, FL -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a murder that occurred Wednesday, Aug. 26 behind an apartment at 14352 Lucerne Drive in the university area of Tampa.

At 5:16 p.m., deputies were called to the apartment and found Anthony Jefferies, 25, shot and killed.

The shooting does not appear to be random and there is no threat to the community. No arrests have been made.
