Man Sustains Minor Injuries In Seminole Heights Shooting
Tampa police said the shooting is not believed to be related to the three shooting deaths in Seminole Heights last month.

TAMPA, FL - A Tampa man sustained minor injuries in a shooting early Sunday morning in the Seminole Heights area. Tampa police said the shooting is not believed to be related to the three shooting deaths in Seminole Heights last month.
The victim was identified as Leonardo Iciano-Perez of Tampa, who was treated for wounds caused by a bullet that grazed his head while he was driving, police said. Iciano-Perez said he was traveling east on Hillsborough Avenue about 2 a.m. when he noticed a dark colored vehicle following him. He turned onto Nebraska Avenue and then onto E. Giddens Avenue when multiple shots were fired at his vehicle.
Multiple shell casings were found on N. Nebraska Avenue and E. Giddens. Avenue. The suspect vehicle fled eastbound on E. Giddens Avenue then northbound on N. 15th St., police said.

Iciano-Perez was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark colored older model sedan, possibly an Infiniti.
This investigation is ongoing and police do not have a motive for the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
