Michelle Obama to Visit Central Tampa Grocery Store

The first lady is coming to National Supermarket on North Armenia Avenue on Thursday as part of her healthy eating initiative.

Michelle Obama is visiting a Central Tampa grocery store this week as part of her initiative to get Americans to eat healthier.

The first lady will stop by , 8401 N. Armenia Ave., at 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Jan. 26, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Obama will be joined by Bob Unanue, head of Goya, the largest Hispanic-owned U.S. food company, the Times reports. Goya is partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for MiPlato, the Spanish-language version of MyPlate, a national effort to encourage helath and wellness. City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn is also scheduled to attend.

From there, Obama will reportedly attend Democratic National Committee fundraising events in Sarasota and Palm Beach.
