Tampa Police Investigate Shots Fired At Car On Columbus Drive
Tampa Police are investigating an gunfire between two vehicles around 12:30 a.m. Monday, April 2.

TAMPA, FL – Tampa Police are investigating an gunfire between two vehicles around 12:30 a.m. Monday, April 2.
Tampa Police officers were patrolling the 3700 block of West Columbus Drive when they saw a gold Kia Sedona minivan apparently chasing a small gray sedan.
Officers saw the occupants of the Kia fire several gunshots at the sedan. The officers attempted to stop the Kia, however it fled and a pursuit was initiated.

The minivan began to drive recklessly and was able to elude the pursuing officers. A short time later, it was found abandoned in the 2900 block of West Ivy Street.
Two firearms thrown from the minivan were recovered.

The sedan that was fired upon was not located and nobody is believed to have been struck by the gunfire.
Detectives are pursuing leads to identify the occupants of the Kia Sedona.
