Tampa Police Released From Hospital Following Crash
Both of the Tampa Police officers involved in a traffic accident late Wednesday, Aug. 1, have been released from the hospital.

TAMPA, FL -- Both of the Tampa Police officers involved in a traffic accident late Wednesday, Aug. 1, have been released from the hospital.
The bicyclist involved in the crash remains in the hospital where he listed in fair condition.
Tampa Police Officer Algenis Maceo and Reserve Officer Jonathan Darling were traveling east on East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 10:45 p.m. in response to an emergency call for service.

Maceo swerved to avoid traffic entering his lane and struck a tree near MLK and North Suwannee Avenue.
Bicyclist Michael Harris, 31, of 405 E. Amelia Ave., Tampa, who was also headed east on MLK, was also struck.
