Tampa Police Seek Tips In North Tampa Double Homicide

Tampa Police homicide detectives are now turning to the public for help in solving a shooting that left two people dead.

TAMPA, FL -- Tampa Police homicide detectives are now turning to the public for help in solving a shooting that left two people dead.

Officers responded to a shots fired call in the North Tampa area shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.
They located Marcus Bowden, 41, and Albertlean East, 26, inside of a home at 9508 N. 10th St. Both had been shot. Bowden was pronounced dead at the scene. East was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe that the shooter and the victims likely knew each other.

Anyone with information in this double homicide is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. Anonymous tips provided through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000 in cash.
