The White House Wants to Hear from Central Tampa Hispanics
More than a dozen senior Obama Administration officials will host a community action summit with Bay Area Hispanics.
Central Tampa Hispanics who want to have their voices heard by the White House have their chance tomorrow.
The Obama Administration is playing host to a Hispanic Community Action Summit on Feb. 3 at the ’s Vaughn Center. The event will feature more than a dozen senior White House officials and is open to anyone who preregisters for attendance.
The summit is “designed to address important issues facing the Hispanic community in a unique format where participants define the agenda and outline next steps working with officials,” wrote Toby Chaudhuri of the White House Press Office. “The events follow similar regional meetings held in a dozen other cities over the last year.”

Summit sessions will cover a variety of topics, ranging from the economy to jobs, health care and education. The country’s immigration system is also a discussion topic on the agenda.
Participants will work collaboratively to set the agenda and identify steps for community action, a White House media release said.

Registration for the summit is available online. The summit runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.
