Watch Shuttle Atlantis from Central Tampa
Do you plan to be at Kennedy Space Center for the big event? Or maybe you've got a good view from your own backyard. We'd love to include your photos and observations.

As of right now, NASA anticipates Atlantis will make its final lift off July 8 at 11:26 a.m.
Most of the country will be looking for the best TV channel to watch the launch. But here in Florida, we need only look into the eastern sky to get a great view.
In Central Tampa, plan on picking a spot that offers an unobstructed view of the east — clear of tall trees and buildings. Wide open spaces in the soccer fields of our local parks and upper floor balconies facing east are your best bet.
