• Leesburg approves two developments, this time with stricter requirements (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — Leesburg commissioners have approved two major housing developments near U.S. 27 and County Road 48, despite concerns from Silver Lake and County Road 44 residents about flooding, runoff, and overdevelopment. The city reduced densities, added buffers and fences, and imposed a four-year deadline, but neighbors, including homeowners on Silver Lake Drive, are still pressing for stronger protections and tougher enforcement on developers.
