Sole Survivor Of Crash In Mexico, Girl Flown To Tampa By Air Ambulance
With the community's help, Jasmin Cervantes-Garcia was flown by air ambulance to Tampa following the vehicle crash that killed her parents.
TAMPA, FL — A 12-year-old Wimauma girl critically injured in a vehicle crash in Mexico returned to Tampa Bay Tuesday afternoon with the help of Jet ICU, a Tampa-based air ambulance company.
Jasmin Cervantes-Garcia is the sole survivor of a crash that killed her parents and grandparents late last month.
Jasmin was vacationing with her family in Leon, Mexico, when reports say a charter bus hit the family’s pickup truck head on.

The 12-year-old has been fighting for her life in a hospital in Mexico. Her aunt, Cindy Garcia, started a GoFundMe page to bring Jasmin home, so she can get the medical treatment she needs.

Jet ICU picked up Jasmin, her older brother, Cruz Cervantes-Garcia, and her aunt in Leon, Mexico, arriving in Tampa around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.
From there, the girl was transported to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg for further care.
