FLORIDA — A serious vocal injury will cause legendary rock band Aerosmith to postpone the remaining "Peace Out: The Farewell Tour" concerts, including two October dates in Florida.

Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler is not only battling damage to his vocal cords, he is also facing a fractured larynx that needs ongoing care, the group announced Friday on Instagram.

"'I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can!' - Love, Steven," read the post.

It is unknown when the new concert dates will be announced, but the band said the shows will take place sometime in 2024. Tickets that have been previously purchased can be used for the rescheduled dates.

Anyone who will not be able to attend the newly scheduled concert can receive a refund, Aerosmith said. The group advised people with questions about refunds to contact their point of purchase.

Aerosmith first announced the tour on May 5, saying, "It’s not goodbye, it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way. You’re going to get the best show of our lives.”

The band was planning a special hometown performance on New Year's Eve in Boston.

Billboard reported Aerosmith has had one No. 1 hit, eight top 10 hits and 28 songs to enter the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
