3 Arrested In Drug Bust At Haven Inn In Tampa
The Tampa police are continuing to crack down on drug sales taking place at Tampa motels.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are continuing to follow up on community complaints of criminal activity taking place at motels as part of its Safer Summer Initiative.
On Tuesday night, officers served search warrants for three rooms at the Haven Inn, 7007 N. Nebraska Ave., following a two-month investigation.
Three people were arrested and police confiscated two handguns, cocaine, fentanyl and synthetic cannabis.

"This investigation is another example of the Tampa Police Department's unwavering commitment to making a safer community for everyone," said Chief Mary O'Connor. "Two more guns are out of the hands of those who should not have them, and illegal narcotics have been taken off the street"
Among those arrested were Adrian Young, 48, charged with selling cocaine and possession of synthetic cannabis with intent to sell; Laporchue Hooks, 32, charged with possession of fentanyl; and Dailin Ferrales, 34, charged with obstruction for providing a false name to police and for failure to appear in a previous arrest for possession of a controlled substance.

Police said additional arrests are expected.
