40 Counts Of Possessing Child Porn Filed Against Tampa Man

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man is facing 40 counts of possessing child pornography after police said they recovered pornographic images during a search of his computers and cell phones.

Ruben Machado-Reyes, 55, of North Ojus Drive, was arrested Thursday at his home.

In March, the Tampa Police Department received a cyber tip indicating Machado-Reyes had uploaded child pornography to one of his internet accounts, according to a police report.

Detectives investigated the tip and then served a search warrant at Machado-Reyes' home where they said they recovered evidence. Based on an interview with Machado-Reyes and the evidence found on his electronic devices, police charged him with 40 counts of possessing child porn but said he could face more charges after a forensic analysis of his computers and cell phones recovered by police.
