Vision Zero is a strategy to eliminate roadway fatalities and severe injuries while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all. First implemented in Sweden in the 1990s, Vision Zero has proved successful across Europe - and now it’s gaining momentum in major American cities.
“This project is a great example of a public partnership between a private developer, the neighborhood and the city of Tampa,” said Danni Jorgenson, Tampa Transportation Engineering manager. “The developer met with and listened to the community and offered street murals to be good community partners.”
