5 Shot At Hillsborough Bar Where Dozens Were Partying

Officers responded to Tally Ho Bar Lounge & Grill​ just after 3 a.m. Monday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office​ said.

HILLSBOROUGH, FL — Five people were shot while dozens partied at Tally Ho Bar Lounge & Grill in Hillsborough overnight Monday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Officers responded to the scene just after 3 a.m. and found a large group of people at the bar for a party organized by the business, officials said.

None of the victims were found at the crime scene, but five victims tied to the party were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds that were not life threatening, according to officials.

Officials said that there is a possibility there was more than one shooter.

"It is disheartening to hear that the lives of so many people were jeopardized because a few people think the way to solve their problems is with violence," Sheriff Chad Chronister said in the news release. "The [Gunfire Response Investigations Team], which was organized to battle gun violence in our community, will do what they do best. They will find the shooters responsible, and they will be charged for their crimes.”

Detectives are still interviewing witnesses, victims and working with local businesses to gather information, according to officials.
