Baptist Health South Florida ranked 45th nationally and first in the Sunshine State. According to survey results, 87 percent of employees said the health care company is a great place to work.
"I never feel like I'm going to 'work.' I love my career. My coworkers are like a second family. Patients will often thank us, tell us how well they have been treated and how much they appreciate what we do - some even tear up because of how appreciative they are," an employee said.
"I can't say enough good things about my director. She listens, cares and always follows through with any changes and pushes to improve our department. It really makes such a difference coming to work with people smiling, laughing and just taking the time to ask you how you are doing or wishing you a good day. I am proud to work here!
To be considered for the Fortune list, companies must employ at least 1,000 workers in the U.S. and be certified by Great Place to Work.
