After Public Urination, Tampa Fire Union President Suspended: Reports
Tampa fire union president Nicolas Stocco was arrested last month for urinating in public while intoxicated in St. Pete, reports said.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa’s fire inspector and union president Nicolas Stocco was arrested last month for urinating in public while intoxicated in downtown St. Petersburg, according to multiple reports.
During his March 24 arrest in a parking garage, Stocco used his position to try to convince officers to let him go, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
“Do you know who I am?” he asked them, later saying, “I work with you guys.”

Prior to this, officers saw Stocc get into an Uber on 1st Avenue N., then quickly get out of it and run into the parking garage at 225 1st Ave. N. Police found him urinating on the wall and his belt was visibly unbuckled as they approached him, Fox 13 News said.
Though the Pinellas County Prosecutor’s Office dropped the charges against Stocco, he was suspended with pay earlier this month by Tampa Fire Rescue, reports said. He claims the suspension is retaliation against him for his role as union president.
