Ambulance Carjacker Found Thanks To Tipster: FL Highway Patrol

A Lakeland man who carjacked an ambulance March 22 on a southbound I-75 exit ramp in Tampa was arrested by Hillsborough deputies, FHP said.

TAMPA, FL — A Lakeland man who carjacked an ambulance March 22 on the southbound Interstate 75 exit ramp to westbound Interstate 4 in Tampa on March 22 has been arrested and faces multiple charges, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on monday that led to the identification of Gregory Brian McGall, 36.

Deputies found McGall and took him into custody for outstanding warrants out of Osceola County, FHP said.

He was brought to the Hillsborough County Jail.

McGall faces the following charges from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office:
  • Criminal mischief $1,000 or more
  • Grand theft motor vehicle
  • Burglary of an unoccupied conveyance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Resisting an officer without violence
He faces the following charges from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office:
  • Home invasion
  • Three counts of petit theft
  • Two counts of carjacking

He also faces the following charges through the Florida Highway Patrol:
