TAMPA, FL — A long-running South Howard Avenue diner is getting ready for a reset this summer.
Ciccio Restaurant Group (CRG) announced that Daily Eats will temporarily close June 15 for “a full refresh of the space” and rebranding. It will reopen a few weeks later as Meeting House.
The change comes after the restaurant has been in business at that location for more than 20 years.
The new concept, Meeting House, will be a neighborhood restaurant centered around lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, CRG said.
The company said it was a difficult decision to rebrand the eatery.
“Daily Eats has been a meaningful part of the South Howard community for over two decades, serving as a place where first dates turned into families, regulars became friends, and lasting memories were made. CRG does not take that history lightly,” the restaurant group said, adding, “This is not goodbye to the people or spirit of Daily Eats. The team will remain together, some guest favorites will stay on the menu, and the next concept is being built with the same energy and personality that made Daily Eats what it was.”
Meeting House is intended to be "a place where guests can 'meet, eat… and repeat,’” CRG said.
CRG, one of Tampa Bay's largest independent hospitality groups, was founded more than 30 years ago in New York City and moved to Florida in 1996. The group currently operates 30 restaurants under the Cali, Fresh Kitchen, Green Lemon, Jay Luigi, Sweet Soul, Taco Dirty and Water + Flour brands, and also includes the wellness and fitness boutique CAMP.
