$2M Mega Millions Prize Won In FL As Jackpot Soars To $672M

A lottery player in Florida has secured $2 million in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing.

The winner matched the five white ball numbers of 2, 4, 10, 48 and 56. The 4x Megaplier ballooned the prize to $4 million.

There was also a $4 million winner in Georgia and a $3 million winner in New Jersey, according to results.

However, no one hit the $637 million jackpot, skyrocketing the massive prize to $672 million with a cash option of $293.3 million for Friday's drawing.

The last time a Florida player won the Mega Millions jackpot was on Aug. 15, 2023.

A ticket bought in Jacksonville was worth $39 million with a cash option of $18.9 million. The money went unclaimed.

Mega Millions tickets are $5 each, with a built-in multiplier feature added in April 2025 that automatically increases non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times.

Previously, the base ticket was $2, and the multiplier was an optional $1 add-on in most states.

The Powerball is the next major game in the lottery line with a drawing held at 11 p.m. Wednesday. The jackpot is $498 million.

There were no huge winners in Monday's Powerball drawing, according to results.

To play the lottery game in Florida, hopefuls must buy their tickets by 10 p.m. on draw nights. Drawings are held at 11 p.m.

The Florida Lottery provides a list of retailers offering tickets. Players need to submit their zip codes or addresses to find nearby locations.

Prizes more than $1 million and any prizes with an annual payment option must be claimed at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee, excluding Mega Millions and Powerball prizes of $600-$1 million.
