Here’s An Early Look At The Fall Forecast For FL

Weather patterns will vary wildly across Florida this fall, according to a new seasonal forecast from The Old Farmer's Almanac.

Florida residents can expect varied weather patterns in different parts of the state compared to previous years, according to a new seasonal forecast from The Old Farmer's Almanac.

The fall forecast calls for cooler-than-normal temperatures and below-average rainfall this fall from Central Florida — including the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas — into northern parts of the state from Jacksonville on the East Coast to the Big Bend area.

The rest of the state can expect a completely different forecast, the Almanac said.

Those in the Panhandle, along the Alabama border, can expect warm, dry weather.

Meanwhile, South Florida can expect cooler-than-normal temperatures and wet weather, the Almanac said.

Across the country, the Almanac expects warmer-than-normal temperatures across much of the nation's interior, including the northern Plains, Heartland and Deep South. Cooler conditions are forecast along the Pacific Coast and across much of the eastern United States.

Rainfall is expected to be below normal across much of the country. Wetter-than-usual conditions are forecast along parts of the West Coast, in the central and northern Rockies, in parts of Texas, southern Florida and the Northeast.

The Almanac's long-range forecasts identify broad temperature and precipitation trends and are not intended to predict the weather on specific days.

Meteorological fall begins Sept. 1 and runs through Nov. 30. Astronomical fall begins with the autumnal equinox on Sept. 22.
