Investigators say 19-year-old Taurean Sanders was armed during a robbery tied to the gunfire, as they continue working to hold everyone involved in the local violence accountable.
3. 25 years after 9/11, Alonso High School students unseal letters written by peers in 2001 (fox13news.com) — Alonso High School students in Tampa just opened 92 sealed letters written by their peers in 2001, capturing raw emotions from the days after 9/11. Guided by former teacher Carey DiPompo, today's teens used the personal accounts to better understand empathy, fear, and resilience, connecting national history to their own classrooms a quarter-century later.
4. Dade City man survives 10-day coma after severe sepsis battle: 'By the grace of God' (fox13news.com) — A Dade City man credits doctors at Tampa General Hospital and his family's support for surviving a severe sepsis case that left him in a medically induced coma for 10 days. After weeks of intensive treatment and rehab, he's now walking unaided, regaining strength, and planning a vacation, while doctors use his case to stress how quickly sepsis can turn deadly.
