Pioneer Medical Foundation Joins 'The Drop' to Create a One-Stop Hub for Health Care and Essential Services

TAMPA, Fla. — Pioneer Medical Foundation is expanding access to free medical and dental care for underserved populations across Tampa Bay with the opening of a new clinic at 'The Drop', a community resilience hub that brings health care and essential services under one roof.

Located at 6220 N. Nebraska Ave. in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhood, the Pioneer Medical Foundation clinic offers free medical care Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with dental services available by appointment. At The Drop, community members can also access showers, food, free clothing, mail and computer services, along with other resources to meet their basic needs.

"This is what it means to meet people where they are," said Ano Kashumba, APRN and executive director of Pioneer Medical Foundation. "By bringing health care into a space where people are already accessing essential support, we can help reduce barriers to care and strengthen continuity for the people we serve."

Pioneer Medical Foundation is a co-founding member of The Drop, alongside WellBuilt Cities and other community partners, helping bring together organizations and resources to serve the broader needs of the community.

The clinic's opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community leaders, health care professionals, and partner organizations.

In 2025 alone, Pioneer Medical Foundation served more than 3,200 patients through its free health care services across Tampa Bay. The new clinic at The Drop builds on that mission and is expected to serve thousands of patients annually, further expanding access to free medical and dental care for people who face barriers to care.
