TAMPA, FL — A 34-year-old Tampa woman is $5 million richer after claiming the top prize in the Florida Lottery's "200X THE CASH" scratch-off game, the agency said in a news release.
Mercedes Nunez claimed her prize June 29 at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
She purchased the winning $20 ticket at Murphy USA, 1405 W. 15th Street in Panama City, lottery officials said.
Rather than receive the prize over time, Nunez chose a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,779,400.
The "200X THE CASH" game offers a top prize of $5 million. The game has overall odds of 1-in-2.96 and features more than 6.9 million winning tickets and more than $313 million in total cash prizes.
