Popular Asian Grocery Store Chain Plans Second FL Location
H Mart, a popular NY-based Asian grocery chain, has filed plans to open a Tampa supermarket, its second FL location, reports said.
TAMPA, FL â A popular Asian grocery store chain has filed plans to build a large supermarket in Tampa â its second location in Florida, according to multiple reports.
H Mart, a Korean grocery brand based in New York, submitted plans to build a store at 3908 West Hillsborough Avenue, ABC Action News reported.
The chain has just one other store in the state, a location at 7501 West Colonial Drive in Orlando, which will open soon, according to a Google business listing.

The company has about 100 stores across the country.
H Mart is known for its wide range of Asian food staples â produce, snacks, kimchi, ramen and noodles, seasoning and canned foods â as well as Western groceries, a food court and deli, Creative Loafing said.

The brand, founded with a single store in Woodside, Queens, in 1982, is the largest Asian supermarket chain in the U.S., according to its website.
Itâs recognized as one of the fastest growing retailers in the National Retail Federations âHot 100 Retailers,â landing at No. 13, the company said.
