Big Summer Golf Card Presents July 2013 “Big Money Tour” Winners

The Big Summer Golf Card®, owned by Big Summer Golf Card Holdings, LLP, a John Neal/Pasold partnership, has announced the winners of golf’s July “Big Money Tour”. Prizes included cash of $2,500, golf equipment and certificates for rounds of golf at favorite area courses.

Calusa Lakes, Nokomis, one of the Big Summer Golf Card exclusive courses participating in the “Big Money Tour” hosted the award presentation.  Winners of this month’s Tour were well represented from the southern counties with Rotonda West, Venice and Northport being home to these avid golfers.

“You read about prize winners but you never think you will be one,” exclaimed David Kehoe, of Rotonda West, winner of this month’s Grand Prize of $1,000. Kehoe plans to return to Calusa Lakes and other “Big Money Tour” clubs to expand the number of courses he plays.

Julius Wurst of Venice played 16 rounds of golf at participating courses in July to win a coveted $500 prize and said he would be back for more in August.  That combination of rounds gave him three entries into the prize drawing.

All the golf winners enjoyed the “Big Money Tour” and the opportunity it provides to play new and different courses around the region.

Every Big Summer Golf Card holder is automatically eligible to play the Big Money Tour with monthly drawings and prizes June through October. Golfers register their round of golf every time they play at any of the 24 participating courses. For every 5 rounds of golf played in the month, golfers are entered into the drawing.

Of the 24 courses taking part in the 2013 Big Money Tour Calusa Lakes was this month’s most played course registering 700 rounds.  In the two months of the Tour to date more than 8,000 rounds of golf have been played at the participating courses. Charles Varah, Managing Partner of Big Summer Golf Card explained, “The goal of the Tour is to help drive more summer golf play to our courses; those that honor the Big Summer Golf Card exclusively for value pricing on greens fees. The Tour is achieving that with courses reporting strong interest and higher levels of play.
