The Greater Palm Harbor YMCA is inviting families throughout the community to participate in the annual Greater Palm Harbor Kids Triathlon on Sunday, August 23, a fun and exciting event that encourages youth to stay active while building confidence, perseverance and healthy habits.
The event will welcome hundreds of young athletes, ages 5 to 15, as they swim, bike and run through age-appropriate courses at the Greater Palm Harbor YMCA. Participants will receive an event T-shirt and goodie bag, while families and friends cheer them on throughout the morning.
The Greater Palm Harbor Kids Triathlon is designed to introduce children to the sport of triathlon in a fun, safe and supportive environment while celebrating personal achievement and the value of an active lifestyle. Whether participants are crossing the finish line for the first time or returning for another year, the event encourages every child to challenge themselves and discover what they are capable of.
The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m., with races starting at 7:45 a.m. Participants should bring a swimsuit, goggles, bicycle, helmet and running shoes.
The YMCA of the Suncoast remains committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Events like the Greater Palm Harbor Kids Triathlon provide opportunities for children to build confidence, develop healthy habits and create lasting memories with their families and community.
