Car Surrounded By Flies Alert Tampa Police To Presence Of Dead Body
The medical examiner has found a gunshot wound to the neck, and police are now treating the case as a possible homicide.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating a possible homicide after a caller reported a parking car in the area of North Elmore Avenue and East Adalee Street surrounded by flies.
Tampa police received the call at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday and, when they arrived, found a dead man inside the car.
According to Tampa police, due to the amount of decomposition, police could see no signs of foul play. However, later on Tuesday, the medical examiner notified police of a possible gunshot wound to the neck.
