City Of Tampa: Armed Robbery Suspect Identified, Arrested

After developing leads and following up on tips submitted to Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay, Tampa Police Detectives were able to identify and arrest 39-year-old Hector Kirkland (pictured) on June 9, charging him with the armed robbery of the Mobil gas station at 10002 N. Florida Ave that occurred on the night of June 6.  Kirkland was seen on video, armed with a handgun, when he demanded money from the Mobil station clerk.

This remains an active investigation as detectives continue their efforts to identify and arrest the second suspect involved in the robbery, who is described as a black male approximately 5'10", 130 pounds, last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, red mask, gray backpack.
