City Of Tampa Needs To Hire 50 New Firefighters

TAMPA, FL -- If you've always dreamed of being a firefighter, here's your chance. Tampa Fire Rescue is looking to hire about 50 firefighters during the next year and is currently accepting applications.

Vacancies occur throughout the year primarily resulting from retirements. The City of Tampa has also added positions to staff the new fire station 23 in New Tampa. Anyone interested in applying must meet certain requirements including:-

* Must be at least 18 years old

* Must have current Florida firefighter certification

* Must have current state of Florida EMT or paramedic certification

* Must be CPR and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) qualified.

The salary range for a Tampa firefighter is $40,185 to $73,981. Benefits include annual paid leave, sick leave, paid holidays and a 48-hour variable work week.
