Convicted Cop Killer Found Guilty in 4th Murder

Sentencing begins Thursday in Dontae Morris' latest conviction.

A Tampa jury on Wednesday found Dontae Morris guilty in the shooting death of Derek Anderson in 2010.

Morris, 29, is already facing two death sentences in the June 29, 2010, deaths of Tampa Police Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab. He was also sentenced to life in 2010 the murder of Rodney Jones.

The sentencing phase begins Thursday, several media outlets are reporting. Jurors will be asked to consider the death penalty in this latest conviction or they could hand Morris a second life sentence.

Morris also faces a fifth trial in relation to the June 8, 2010, death of Harold Wright. It is unclear when that trial will begin.

Morris is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail, according to jail records.
