Corks 4 a Cause Raises $1,200 for Brookwood Florida
Corks 4 a Cause raised funds to go toward Brookwood's therapeutic program to reunify families

TAMPA, Fla. (April 11, 2016) – Corks 4 a Cause presented a $1,200 check to Brookwood Florida at its “Brookwood in the Gardens” charity event, hosted at Sunken Gardens on April 7.
Brookwood Florida provides a home for girls diverted by abuse, neglect or family dysfunction, in which they learn to be self-sufficient and successful. With their unique four-part program, Brookwood Florida helps girls develop the skills, self-identity and maturity needed to return to their families or live independently.

“This donation will help us fill a huge hole in our budget,” said Pam Mesmer, executive director of Brookwood Florida. “We’re always appreciative of groups who host fundraisers for us. They’re investing in families in their community.”
The funds raised at Brookwood in the Gardens will go toward Brookwood’s therapeutic program to reunify families.

Corks 4 a Cause is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting charities in the Tampa Bay area. Established in 2014, its board hosts three to four networking wine events per year.
“We’ve built a strong community of like-minded people who have a desire to give back to worthwhile organizations. It helps to have wine there, too,” said Laura Rehbein, president of Corks 4 a Cause.
Corks 4 a Cause has raised more than $5,200 for Tampa Bay nonprofits since September 2014.
