TAMPA, FL — Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ventell Bryant was charged with driving under the influence Wednesday after Tampa Police officers noticed him driving a Dodge Charger without the headlights on at 2:24 a.m.

Officers were patrolling the area of Howard Avenue at Interstate 275 when they spotted Bryant driving in the dark. When they pulled him over, officers said he showed signs of being impaired.

Bryant admitted to drinking several margaritas before driving. After failing a roadside field sobriety test, he was arrested and charged with DUI.

Bryant submitted to a breath test while being booked. The test showed a blood-alcohol content of .102 and .099. A BAC of .08 is considered intoxicated in the state of Florida.
