Deaths At Tampa Home Classified A Murder-Suicide: Police
A man fatally shot a woman in Tampa before turning the gun on himself on Aug. 21, police said. Three children were home at the time.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa police have classified an Aug. 21 fatal shooting at a N. 15th Street home as a murder-suicide.
Investigators believe a man shot a woman following a dispute inside a home before killing himself, police said in a news release.
Officers responded to the home in the 3500 block of N. 15th St. during the early morning hours and found a woman in her mid-20s dead from a gunshot wound.

A 51-year-old man, identified as Armario Gilbert, was also found at the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. He died shortly afterward.
Evidence gathered by detectives indicates Gilbert and the woman knew each other ,and that he shot her before taking his own life, investigators said.

The woman's three minor children were also found unharmed inside the home.
Victim advocates are working to connect the children with support services.
