Discarded Puppy Case Prompts Reward Offer
Police want to know who put the tiny puppy in a garbage bag and tossed it out.

Two groups have stepped forward to offer a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case of a newly born puppy found inside a trash can by Tampa Police.
The case came to light on Monday when Tampa Police Officers Randy Whitney and Bob Barrett spotted a scruffy adult dog standing on top of a garbage can. Upon further investigation, the two discovered that critter was a new momma who simply wanted to rescue her baby from inside.
The two pulled the baby from the can as a few more officers arrived on the scene in the 2200 block of 10th Street North. According to department spokeswoman Andrea Davis, officers found three more puppies under a nearby shed.
