Driver Faces DUI Charge After Car Slams Into Restaurant
The wreck happened Tuesday night in Tampa.

A 29-year-old Carrollwood woman faces DUI charges after police say she lost control of her vehicle and slammed into the patio of the Independent restaurant, leaving one man injured.
The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday at the 5016 N. Florida Ave. bar and eatery. Police say Sully Marie-Torre-Medina lost control of her Honda Accord and drove into the outside patio.
Torre-Medina, an email from the police department stated, attempted to flee the scene, but was detained by patrons.

Wesley Dustin Kincaid, 34, was injured when the car struck the patio, police say. He was taken to St. Josephâs Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Torre-Medina was charged with DUI with serious bodily injury. Her blood alcohol level measured 0.16, which is twice the legal limit, police noted.

Hillsborough County Jail records also indicate she was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was being held in lieu of $3,000 bond Wednesday afternoon.
