Update: Off-Duty Cop Arrested on DUI Charges
He was arrested following a crash on Highland Avenue at Violet Street.

Update Oct. 23, 12:47 p.m.: The off-duty Tampa Police Officer charged with DUI has been identified as 32-year-old Anton Lipski.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Lipski was arrested around 1:39 a.m. Thursday after a traffic crash in the area of Highland Avenue and Violet Street. Police say Lipski was heading northbound on Highland Avenue in a 2004 silver Acura when he hit the median on Violet Street and struck a homeâs 3-foot concrete wall. Lipski got of the vehicle, uninjured.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Lipski was impaired. His blood alcohol level readings came back at .180 and .164.

Lipski is suspended without pay following the outcome of the investigation and faces DUI charges.

The Tampa Police Department has arrested one of its own on DUI charges.
Details in the case are still murky, but police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said the officer was off duty at the time of the arrest.
A late-morning press conference is planned.
