'Eat at Joe's' Turns 2 Friday
A 'Spring into Summer' party is planned to mark the milestone.

Bay area residents who find themselves in downtown Tampa on Friday are invited to celebrate the second birthday of the “Eat at Joe’s” lunchtime concert series.
The fun kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square on the corner of Pierce and Kennedy. The party features free birthday cake this month and a live performance by Ray Gurka, an acoustic-pop rock performer.
A number of special appearances are also planned for the May 1 event. Partygoers will get to learn more about summer camp programs, adoptable pets, skin cancer, summer reading programs, local wildlife and more. This month’s event will also boast, as usual, plenty of food trucks. Participants can also choose to check out any of downtown’s nearby restaurants, too.

Eat at Joes was created by Commissioner Al Higginbotham two years ago to promote downtown business while getting people out to enjoy courthouse square. The program is sponsored monthly by the county, the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa and the Tampa Downtown Partnership.
