Putting the Elf on the Shelf in nontraditional places has become a fun competition among law enforcement and city departments in Tampa Bay.
TAMPA BAY, FL — He gets around more than an Uber driver. In Tampa Bay, you never know where you'll find the Elf on Shelf. It seems he's managed to escape his usual perch on the family fireplace mantle and shown up on Florida beaches, at the zoo, at the mayor's desk and relaxing in a lounge chair by the pool.
