European-Style Cafe Opens in Downtown Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL — A European-style cafe, Nourish & Nosh Bakery Bistro, has opened at 601 Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater.

The cafe is on the ground floor of the Atrium Building and is now serving breakfast, coffee and made-from-scratch food in the Cleveland Street district, the Cleveland Street Alliance, which is leading a coordinated effort to revitalize downtown Clearwater, said in a news release.

The eatery focuses on fresh food, sourced ingredients and baking and hospitality rooted in quality and craftsmanship.

Co-owner Nea Porta, originally from Helsinki, Finland, said the cafe was built around preparing food from scratch with clean ingredients and becoming part of the downtown community.

“I think it’s very exciting to be here on Cleveland Street right now because it’s the beginning of all the development happening here,” she said. “We’re looking forward to being part of it, and this location is perfect. I really like serving the downtown community, and I’m very proud of it.”

Bakers begin their work at the cafe before sunrise, preparing pastries, breads and baked goods by hand. All breakfast, lunch and café offerings are prepared fresh using organic ingredients, seasonal produce and locally sourced dairy.

The menu includes breakfast sandwiches, fresh bagels, crustless quiche, salads, pastries, cookies, organic coffee, house-made cold brew, and gluten-free and specialty baked goods.

The cafe boasts a glass-walled dining room and outdoor patio.
