The Tampa office of national labor and employment law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP grows with the addition of Marci Britt as an associate attorney. Previously, Britt served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Virginia M. Hernandez Covington, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
With Fisher & Phillips, Britt will represent employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, wage and hour disputes, whistleblower claims, and family and medical leave issues.
In 2009, Britt received her juris doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School. She served as an intern for the Honorable L. Clayton Roberts at the Florida First District Court of Appeal, and worked as an associate in Phelps Dunbar’s insurance and reinsurance practice group.

She earned her master’s degree in political science from Florida State University in 2003 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from FSU in 2002.
Britt also served as a cabinet aide for the Florida Attorney General’s office under Charlie Crist. She helped to research and recommend opinions and policies that impacted administrative law, budgets, rule changes, and state boards and agencies.
