Fisher Investments To Open Tampa Office, Adding 600 Jobs

The office will be located in the Westshore business district and will be the global investment advisors' first main East Coast location.

TAMPA, FLA – Fisher Investments, one of the world’s largest independent investment advisers has announced it will open a full-service office in Tampa that will eventually bring 600 jobs to the area.

The office, which will be located in the Westshore business district, will be the company’s first major East Coast facility. Fisher Investments also has locations in Texas, Washington and California.

Fisher opened its Washington office in 2010 and expanded to Texas in 2017. The additional locations were added to give employees a choice of where to work and live and both the Texas and California offices has more than 500 employees.

Fisher Investments has more than 74,000 clients globally. Fisher Investments and its subsidiaries currently manage approximately $124 billion in assets—over $78 billion for North American private investors, over $31 billion for institutional investors, over $12 billion for European private investors and over $1 billion for small and mid-size business 401k plans.

Company officials said in a news release that Fisher has been looking to expand its reach of offices for some time.

“We’re delighted to add Tampa to our office options,” Fisher Investments CEO Damian Ornani said in the news release. “This new office allows us to better retain and attract talent from throughout the Eastern Seaboard."

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor said that the addition of Fisher Investments is a “huge win” for the city and demonstrates Tampa’s ability to attract major global operations. Other local officials agreed.

“The addition of Fisher Investments to Tampa is another boost to our fast-growing financial services sector,” Craig J. Richard, president and CEO of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council said in the news release. “The Tampa region has earned a reputation as a top business destination with an extremely competitive talent pool that continues to attract top global companies.”
