Gasparilla, Super Bowl Forecast: Sunny and Cool

Tampa Bay area residents hoping to enjoy some outdoor time over the weekend are likely to find conditions to their liking.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a sunny, mild weekend ahead with only a slight chance of rain creeping into the forecast as Sunday comes to a close.

Friday’s high will reach about 70 degrees with an overnight low in the mid-40s. Sunshine is on tap throughout the day and into the evening hours.

Gasparilla Pirate Fest attendees will be greeted to a Saturday that’s more or less a repeat of Friday’s weather conditions. Sunshine dominates during the daytime hours and conditions are anticipated to become partly cloudy overnight as lows drop into the 50s.

Super Bowl Sunday is a day of change, but the daytime hours should be quite mild with a high in the mid-70s anticipated. Rain does move into the forecast in the overnight hours with a 20 percent chance expected as of Friday morning.

Monday brings a slightly higher chance of rain at 30 percent during the daytime hours.
